Conflict Checking

From PikaDocs

In addition to checking financial and citizenship eligibility, staff should click on the “Conflicts” tab to determine whether there is a potential conflict of interest that might prevent your organization from providing services. If a potential conflict appears on the Conflicts tab, follow your organization’s protocol to review the intake before any services are provided.

Potential conflicting cases will appear in a list and each must be checked to determine whether a conflict of interest exists. Review potential conflict cases and determine how each particular intake should be processed. Again, if there are any changes to the fields on this screen, click on the “Save” button to record them.

Unless there are problems, this review should only take a minute or two. If the potential client is determined to be income-, asset- and citizenship status-eligible, the advocate should return to the “Notes” tab to review the legal problem presented by the potential client.
