If you have not set up ODBC on your computer according to the instructions in Installing an ODBC Connection, please do so before proceeding.

  1. Create an new, empty Access database file.
  2. Choose File -> Get External Data -> Link Tables from the Access menu.
    Choose "Link Tables"
  3. A file selection window will appear. On the Files of Type menu, choose "ODBC Databases ()".

  4. Another window will appear, listing available ODBC connections. Choose your Pika connection, then click OK.

  5. Another window will appear, listing all available tables on the Pika database. Click the Select All button, then Click OK.

  6. Linked tables will now be created in the Access database. Some tables may request you to select a unique identifier. If this happens, just click Cancel, it is not required.

  7. Access is now connected to the Pika database on the MySQL server. You can now run reports and queries just like you would with a Access database. This Access file will work on any PC that has MyODBC installed and the Pika ODBC connection configured.
